Professionals guide to oregon alateen

Alateen is for teenagers who are affected by a relative or friend’s misuse or addiction to alcohol.

Alateen meetings are peer-facilitated mutual support groups that meet in person or online. Alateen is only open to teenagers.  There are no dues or fees. Any teen affected by someone else’s drinking is welcome.

As a professional, you are in an important position to help families and friends concerned with someone else’s drinking. Al-Anon Family Groups is a community resource that is supportive and complementary to your work.

About alateen

Refer a Teen

Teens may attend any Alanon or Alateen meeting. A referral or advance notification is not needed. It is acceptable to attend a meeting and just listen or ask questions. Alateen is not a place for teens seeking help with their own drinking or drug use.

Many Oregon Alateen meetings occur concurrently with Alanon or AA meetings in the same facility to allow adults and teens to attend respective meetings. Check Alanon and AA schedules.
